Our “Voices of the Movement” project is capturing and preserving the remarkable memories and experiences of the Movement’s supporters and collaborators for posterity.

We’re aiming to collect as many stories as we possibly can, for three main reasons:

  1. To have our side of the story told in all its heroic and painful dimensions.
  2. To inspire a new generation.
  3. To provide the foundation for another (long-term) project, which is a museum dedicated to preserving our early history for the sake of future generations.
Very importantly, we want you to be involved.

Would you like to tell your story?

Do you know of others who ought to share theirs?

Do you want to help record interviews (over a scone and cup of tea) in your region?

Would you like to financially support this project which is an Australia-wide effort to preserve important testimonies before they are lost forever?

Once all the interviews have been collected, transcribed, and catalogued, they will be stored in a permanent archive together with our existing records. We will also be happy to process accompanying photos and historical documents.

In time, and with the appropriate permissions, these documents will be made accessible to both to historians and the public.

If you’re as excited as we are, don’t wait:
• Share Your Story: If you or someone you know has a story to tell, contact us regarding an interview.

• Volunteer: Join our team to conduct in-person interviews.

• Spread the Word: Share our project with your network to help us reach more voices.

• Donate: Your contributions will support the purchase of equipment, recordings, and archiving.
We are deeply grateful for your continued support and belief in the power of storytelling.
Together, we can ensure that the Movement’s voices are heard and remembered. If you’d like more information, please contact us at admin@tmc.org.au
